Now Hiring Continuous Improvement Analyst

Digital Transformation

The City of Medicine Hat, Information & Computer Services (ICS) Department is focused on promoting, enabling and leading appropriate technology solutions that are aligned with City Council goals and objectives to improve and enhance City services.  They are searching for a motivated individual with a passion for innovation and process improvement to take on a permanent role of Continuous Improvement Analyst with a focus on Digital Transformation. 

The ideal candidate has previous experience with the following:

  • Experience working on Digital projects and with complex information systems.
  • Determining client requirements and transforming them into system specifications.
  • Specifying changes to existing business processes and/or creating new business processes to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Generating documentation for technical proposals, estimates, general design system test strategies and support procedures.

Experience with any of the following enterprise applications will be an asset:

  • Salesforce or an equivalent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Granicus govAccess or an equivalent government Content Management System (CMS)
  • Azteca Systems Cityworks or an equivalent Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • CityView or an equivalent Permitting, Licensing and Land (PLL) system

The candidate should also possess the ability to analyze requests in order to implement steps towards an effective solution, to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing and is skilled in documenting business requirements and process diagrams.  If you thrive in a team environment, work well under pressure, and have proven self-management skills for planning and prioritizing work and time management, then this is the job for you!

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a two (2) year diploma in technology, business, or finance or related field, from a recognized post-secondary institution;
  • Two (2) years of experience in a related Business Systems/Continuous Improvement Analyst position;
  • Two (2) years of experience in providing Application Support;
  • An equivalent combination of management approved training, education and experience may be considered.
